At Steelworks, we only sell top-quality 304 Stainless Tables and Sinks.
All our offerings are 100% stainless steel, never compromising on cheaper galvanized legs or undershelves.
Unfortunately, galvanized steel though cheaper, will oxidize over time and needs to be replaced sooner as health departments all over the USA are demanding an easier cleaning surface. Also, 430 Stainless, though suitable for dry storage shelving, will not stand up to oxidation in damper or humid environments.
The presence of nickel makes 304 more corrosion resistant. The absence of nickel in 430 grade means the stainless steel will most likely crack or fail compared to 304. 304-grade stainless steel is also known as food-grade stainless steel.
304 stainless steel is the most common form of stainless steel used worldwide due to its excellent corrosion resistance and value. 304 can withstand corrosion from most oxidizing acids. That durability makes 304 easy to sanitize, and therefore ideal for kitchen and food applications. This is why Steelworks only uses 304 for our tables and sinks.
